Brazil Kite Downwinders

Brazil is a top destination for plenty of reasons. Kiting, however is the latest. With constant wind (18-30+ knots) from July through January, it really is a kiters' paradise.

Our tours include 250 km of beach from Cumbuco, Paracuru up to Jericoacoara (that's 10+ beaches), crossing river mouths by raft, stopping to kite at amazing lagoons, ocean coves and doing downwinders along the way. Jericoacoara is an incredible little oasis built on the sand, surrounded by massive sand dunes. We'll take you in dune buggies to kite during the day. When the tour is over, we return you to Cumbuco/Fortaleza. We design our tours so it's the perfect combination of kiting, nightlife and as much Brazil sun as you can handle!

Please check out our Special Offers section, we arrange some very attractive deals on a regular basis.

Here is a sample of a 10-day kite tour:

  • Day 1. Our 10-day downwind tours begin when we pick you up at the airport and take you directly to Cumbuco for an immediate session right outside your hotel. You can be on the water in less than an hour from the time we leave the airport!
  • Day 2. The next day we downwind to the world-famous Cauipe lagoon and spend the afternoon enjoying the legendary flat-water riding and eating fresh fish caught by local fishermen.
  • Day 3-6. After one more night and a hearty group dinner, we head up the beach by 4x4 to the Taiba lagoon for some more flat water riding. Then we're off on a 10km wave-riding downwinder into Paracuru, which is best known for it's consistent wind and simultaneous flat water and waves at low tide, due to protection from a large reef.
  • Day 7-10. After 3 days of kiting in Paracuru and doing downwinders nearby, we travel in our 4x4s another 200km along beach to Jericoacoara (that's 10+ beaches), crossing river mouths by raft, stopping to kite at amazing lagoons and doing downwinders along the way.
